Sweet Aloha Ice Cream, the family- and veteran-owned scoop shop in Davie, brought home three awards – one blue, one red, and one white ribbon from the National Ice Cream Association’s Ice Cream Clinic competition at Conecon 2025, held November 11 at the West Palm Beach Convention Center.
Cornell University’s Dairy Extension Team evaluated hundreds of entries under FDA safety standards, scoring each flavor in six categories for a maximum of 43 points. Sweet Aloha’s small-batch submissions earned three distinct ribbons at the convention placing the South Florida shop among the nation’s top ice cream producers.
“Three ribbons, one blue, in one convention is a huge honor,” said co-owner Jimmy Anderson, a U.S. Air Force veteran who launched Sweet Aloha in August, 2021. “It validates our efforts to make super-premium ice cream with highest quality ingredients with aloha poured into every batch. Conecon, being hosted in Palm Beach County, gave us home-field energy – now we’re ready to welcome the entire region to taste what put us on the national map.”The awards build on Sweet Aloha’s 2025 accolades, including #1 Shave Ice in Florida by Yelp and a previous ranking among America’s Top 50 Ice Cream Shops by Insider.com.
